Calgary weddings can look so many different ways, and that’s one of the reasons they're so fun to photograph. From chic rooftop ceremonies downtown to intimate backyard celebrations and garden receptions, every wedding has its own atmosphere and story. No matter what kind of day you’re planning, my approach is always the same: documenting it in a way that feels relaxed and true to you.
I’m always paying attention to the moments that happen in between everything else. The quick glance during your ceremony, your friends laughing during speeches, your parents seeing you all dressed up for the first time, or the unhinged fun on the dance floor later in the night. Those are usually the moments that end up meaning the most when you look back through your gallery. As much as the day is about you. and your partner, your wedding is one of the only times you'll have all of your favourite people in the same room, and that deserves to be documented.
One of the best things about wedding photography in Calgary is the variety. You can have a modern downtown wedding with skyline views, a cozy restaurant reception, a romantic garden ceremony, or a chic industrial-style reception. There are so many amazing venues and locations around Calgary that every wedding feels completely different from the last (even if I've been to the venue before).
I also know that being in front of a camera doesn’t always feel natural for everyone, and honestly, it doesn’t have to. My goal is never to make your wedding day feel like one long photoshoot. I’ll guide you when you need it while creating space for real moments.
