I love capturing natural, candid moments and collaborating with each client to ensure their photos reflect who they are. Our time together doesn't begin at your session either. We'll work together beforehand to find the right location and wardrobe to make sure you feel comfortable and confident on the day. One of the best compliments I receive from clients is how comfortable and they felt during their sessions, even if they'd never had professional photos done before. My career began in journalism, and I spent five years working at Vue Weekly—Edmonton's weekly independent news, music, and arts publication—where I worked my way up from Staff Writer to Managing Editor. It was there that I honed my written and visual storytelling abilities, from interviewing and photographing some of the top musicians in the world to local heroes making the city a better place. My work has also been published in the Globe & Mail, Fast Forward Weekly, Beatroute, Confetti, Daily Hive, Exclaim!, the Edmonton Journal, and freq magazine. I eventually pivoted my career to public relations and marketing, which has been an invaluable experience in running my own business and working with branding clients. While I was doing this, my photography business continued to grow to the point where I was working two full-time jobs. I decided to take a leap of faith in May 2022 and do photography full-time, and I haven't looked back. Storytelling remains at the centre of my work, especially when it comes to wedding photography, and I can't wait to capture yours.
