Like many professional photographers, my career was on another path before I took a leap of faith and launched my business full-time. I started out in print journalism working at Vue Weekly, Edmonton's former alternative news and entertainment publication (I started as the Staff Writer and moved up to Managing Editor and Music Editor). I moved to Calgary in 2017 to work at a boutique communications and public relations agency. Photography had always been a side role or part of my journalism work, but I credit the move to Calgary as the start of my business. It quickly grew and I eventually decided to make it my full-time focus. But my experience in the journalism and marketing worlds honed my storytelling abilities, which now serves me well in capturing weddings and telling clients' unique stories. My work has been published in the Globe & Mail, Confetti, Fast Forward Weekly, Exclaim!, and freq magazine.
When I'm not working, I'm likely spending time with my husband and two-year-old daughter — we enjoy trips to the mountains — friends (they're like family), or trying new things around the city. I also love to travel and explore. Some of my favourites (so far) have been Ireland, Scotland, London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Italy.

what is your booking process?
I start with a phone or video call so we can m like to start with a phone or video call so we can make sure we're the right fit. A signed contract and retainer is required to officially book your date. From there, we'll be in touch plenty of times leading up to your wedding day or photo session. I care about my clients and want to provide the best experience for each and every person I work with. I want to know your must-have photos, how I can support you during your wedding day, and how you want to experience it all so your photos feel like "you."
what is your photography style?
I love capturing candid moments. On a wedding day, I like to let moments unfold naturally when needed (like your ceremony and reception), but I'll step in and offer guidance during your portraits.
do you travel? are there fees?
I'm always up for travelling! I primarily work in Calgary, Canmore, and Banff, but I'm ready to go anywhere. I don't charge a travel fee for Kananaskis or Canmore, but there is a $150 travel fee for Banff due to the extra distance. If the wedding or session is more than two hours from Calgary and we have an early start to a late finish (after 11 pm), accommodation may be required. Destination wedding travel costs can be discussed at the time of booking.
Can you help with my wedding timeline?
Yes! Hiring me means you have support beyond your wedding day. I can help you create a timeline that doesn't feel rushed. If you're working with a planner or coordinator, I'll collaborate with them to ensure the day runs smoothly.
can you help me find other wedding vendors?
I'm lucky to know some truly talented vendors who can suit a range of styles and price points, and I'm happy to share my recommendations.
do you work with LGBTQ2S+ couples?
1000% yes. I want to create a welcoming, safe space for every couple.
do we have to do the engagement session included in our package?
No, but I highly recommend it. Most couples have never done a professional photo session together, and this is a great chance to get comfortable in front of the camera. It also gives us a chance to get to know each other before your wedding day. If you choose not to do a session, we can transfer that value to an additional hour of wedding coverage.
When will we see our photos?
Wedding clients will get a sneak peek within 48 hours of their wedding date, and the full gallery will be delivered in 8-12 weeks, depending on the season. Family, maternity, and newborn clients will have their gallery within 14 days of the session date.
how will you edit my photos?
Retouching is a large part of my workflow, and it's what makes your images look polished and consistent. And it's not just adding a filter. I take a lot of care with colour grading, natural skin retouching, and removing distractions (think exit signs). My retouching style is true to colour, and your photos should accurately portray all the colours and details you chose for your wedding. Additional retouching requests beyond this scope will be $30 per image.
do you offer payment plans?
I offer payment plans for all wedding packages. I minimum, non-refundable retainer is required to secure your booking, but we can shat about a payment schedule for the remainder. I've planned a wedding too, and I understand how quickly it all adds up. Any other session required a 50% retainer at the time of booking. I accept e-transfer and credit card payments, or a combination of the two.
