Say “I do” in the Canadian Rockies, which are stunning year-round. Even better? The mountains are just a short drive from Calgary. Canmore wedding venues cater a broad spectrum of wedding sizes and budgets, from luxe hotels to cozy lodges.
Silvertip Resort is one of the top Canmore wedding venues, and it’s easy to see why. Not only is it a must-visit for golf enthusiasts, but it’s a stunning location for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The resort overlooks the town of Canmore, with soaring mountain peaks and lush forests all around. There are two ceremony spaces on site (more on that below) and options for receptions of various sizes. This means you don’t have to leave the resort once the day gets underway. There are also numerous photo locations if you don’t want to travel elsewhere or you’re running on a tighter timeline. Katelyn and David’s photos below were all shot onsite at Silvertip.
Note: There are not facilities to get ready at the resort, but Canmore has plenty of hotels and Airbnbs to accommodate your wedding party. The Malcolm Hotel is a popular choice for most couples, as it’s just only about 10 minutes away — this is where Katelyn got ready.
But it’s not just the incredible scenery that makes Silvertip Resort a popular Canmore wedding venue. The team members are experts in hosting events, and the wedding menus are crafted using fresh, regional ingredients and inspired by nature. Plated and buffet options are available, and couples can arrange a complimentary menu tasting ahead of their wedding day. (As a vendor, I have to say that I’ve always had delicious food at Silvertip)
