CANMORE & BANFF WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

One of my favourite things about weddings in the mountains is that every couple can make the experience completely their own. Some people plan a big wedding weekend with all their family and friends, while others keep things small and low-key with an intimate ceremony somewhere surrounded by nature. Both are equally amazing, and both photograph so well out here.

The best part is that you really don’t have to go far to find great photo locations. There are so many beautiful spots tucked all around Canmore and Banff, whether you want huge mountain views, quiet forest trails, riverside scenery, or somewhere a little more relaxed and casual. A lot of venues already have incredible backdrops built right in, which makes the whole day feel more laidback.

I also love how every season brings something different. Summer evenings in the mountains are hard to beat, fall has the best colours, and winter weddings out here feel cozy in the best way. Even rainy days somehow work in the mountains.

When it comes to photographing weddings, my goal is always to keep things natural and comfortable. I’m not looking to turn your wedding day into one long photoshoot. I want you to actually enjoy the day, spend time with your people, and take everything in while I document it all as it happens. The scenery already does a lot of the heavy lifting, so the rest is just about capturing your day as it unfolds.
