Canmore is honestly one of my favourite places for engagement photos. It’s an easy drive from Calgary, the scenery is incredible, and it looks beautiful any time of year. Whether you’re planning a quick evening session or making a weekend out of it, Canmore is such a fun spot for engagement photos because it gives you those amazing mountain views without having to go too far from the city.

One of the best things about Canmore is how much variety there is. You can get mountain backdrops, forest trails, rivers, open views, and cozy little spots all within a pretty short distance. I also have a few go-to locations for engagement sessions that have gorgeous scenery without needing to hike for hours or climb up a mountain. That means we can spend more time hanging out, exploring, and taking photos naturally instead of trying to survive a difficult hike.
Every season in Canmore has its own vibe, too. Summer has those warm evenings and bright mountain views, fall brings golden colours and crisp air, and winter is perfect if you love snowy, cozy mountain scenery. No matter when you’re planning your session, there’s always a beautiful backdrop somewhere nearby.
I’m also always happy to incorporate a location that’s meaningful to the two of you. Maybe it’s your favourite trail, a cabin you love staying at, or just somewhere you always visit together.
