Banff National Park is easily one of Alberta's most iconic destinations, and it's easy to see why. The park is stunning year-round, and there are endless photo locations, from famous places like Lake Louise and Moraine Lake to lesser-known (but equally gorgeous) spots. Plus, it's only about an hour-and-a-half from Calgary, making it an easy day trip or weekend getaway if you want to extend your time there. Trust me, you won't want to leave. I've lived near Banff for nearly a decade, and the scenery never gets old.

BANFF
 ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

READY TO BOOK?

Banff National Park is perfect for engagement photos and even proposals. I've photographed many here and they're one of my favourite sessions to capture. Whichever session you choose, there's a great mix of landscapes and locations to set the scene. We can head out of town for something more scenic (there are plenty of beautiful lakes near the town site that aren't overly busy) or explore downtown together. Banff's dining scene has evolved in recent years, and there are some stunning restaurants and cocktail bars with gorgeous decor. If we're heading outside, the ideal photo times are either at sunrise or sunset — golden hour, as photographers like to call it. The light is warm and soft, with an unmistakable golden tone that makes photos look extra dreamy. But if that's not possible with your schedule, don't stress! I've captured Banff engagement photos at all times of day and know how to adapt to changing light (and weather).

We'll work together to find the perfect spot for your session, whether you're up for being adventurous or want a more dressed-up mountain experience. I also love capturing engagement sessions in places that are meaningful to you as a couple. But I've also worked with couples who have never visited Banff before, which is a fun way for me to show them around.
