I photographed Amber's wedding in May 2022, and we decided to revive her gorgeous gown for a Love the Dress session at Horseshoe Canyon in the Alberta Badlands. Her colourful wedding gown was custom designed by NRT Fashions, an award-winning Calgary designer who specializes in unique bridal attire. Nicole (the owner of NRT) is a master at making an idea a reality, and her designs are so distinct. She has the ability to truly capture each bride's style, and I've been lucky enough to photograph several of her creations. She's also designed several pieces for me. As a tall woman, I often struggle to find jumpsuits and dresses that are long enough, and Nicole understands those challenges.

Amber and I hiked down to the bottom of Horseshoe Canyon for her Love the Dress session, and we had it almost all to ourselves.. Amber is also a talented makeup artist, who I love to work with, so of course her makeup was on point. She accessorized her gown with a wide-brimmed hat and cowboy boots to complement the setting we were in, and the results were far different than her original wedding portraits, which we shot at The River's Edge Devon.
